District Partnership Post-Secondary Programs
District Partnerships are developed in conjunction with local post-secondary institutions to provide specialized training.
The purpose of these programs is to allow students to complete first year
post-secondary courses while working towards graduation.

Grade 10
Summer Academic Programs that you attend in July & August after having completed grade 11:
Semester 1 Gr. 12 Post-Secondary Partnership course
These are individual district partnership courses. Upon completion, students receive 3 post-secondary university-college credits and 4 high school credits.
Apprenticeship Programs (most of these are completed 2nd Semester of your Gr. 12 year)

- Apply for district partnership programs by Spring Break
- Inquire with Career Centre staff about programs
- Some Academic partnership programs are courses taken in the summer after you complete grade 11
- Semester 2 – participate in an Apprenticeship Program
- Graduate from Matheson
- Be both a Matheson student and a post-secondary student
- Participate in Matheson extra-curricular activities with permission of your post-secondary instructors.
